Ah ok very possible that someone just made up that name for him. I really couldn't remember where I had read it, that's why I was unsure. I hate that people make up information about people. Where is the profit in that?

I think his name is David Combs, isn't it? She posted an old picture of him on her twitter once. Its really not uncommon for parents of actors to stay below the radar since well its the kids that are famous not them.

My guess is the whole Donoho family is of the "relaxed religion" aka traditionally some form of Christianity but they don't really practice it. Catholic schools just tend to be the easiest private school option and often don't require that the parents be Catholic.
