After being pushed around, threatened and more by “A,” Emily is at a breaking point and her friends know that something drastic has to be done to save her. The girls turn to the only person they have come to trust and know that she can’t let their secrets out – Dr. Anne Sullivan. Finally being able to reveal the torment that “A” has put them through to someone outside of the tight-knit group gives the girls a sense of relief and Emily a new sense of courage. But with the cat being out of the bag, has a weight really been lifted off their shoulders, or could it possibly have just provoked a beast? And now that Dr. Sullivan is aware of “A” and what the girls have been put through, could she be next on “A’s” target list? Meanwhile, Hanna’s grandmother comes to town to stir up trouble for Tom’s rehearsal dinner.
Holly portrays: Ella Montgomery
Is Holly in this episode?: Yes. Director Norman Buckley teases that 211 is going to be <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/norbuck/status/83389953794510848" target="blank">a big Ella episode</a> and that "[they've] got <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/norbuck/status/85070030122921984" target="blank">one of the best Ella scenes yet</a>" coming up in this ep.
Her part: 'A' tries to tempt Emily to "clue Ella in" on Aria's secret relationship with Ezra in exchange for getting off her case but she bails instead.
Back in the Montgomery household, tensions are still running high and the parents argue about the best route of action for helping Mike get out of this low. Byron is still seeing his brother's ghost in him and insists the boy should be medicated to avoid taking any chances. Always the more liberal one, Ella vehemently argues against chemicals and thinks Mike just needs to open up and deal with whatever he's keeping in. Aria witnesses this confrontation, prompting another argument between her parents when Ella snaps about Byron automatically trying to hide this issue from their daughter as it affects her, too. Byron barrel rolls out, refusing to see anybody else's perspective and saying he's "not taking a poll."
Later, Aria tries to get Mike to talk to his family instead of strangers on the internet but things go south when Ella interferes. Frustrated with her son's apathy and lack of eye contact, she ends up struggling him for his laptop and injuring her wrist. Mike is shocked and slams out of there as Aria watches on, horrified. Despite her protests, Ella puts Aria under oath to not breathe a word of what happened and say she tripped on the stairs instead as she doesn't want Byron to know and come down on Mike even harder.
At school, Aria sees her mother from afar, obviously selling the coverup story to an acquaintance. Ella and Byron have a conversation after dinner that night about her hand. He he is worried and thinks she should have it x-rayed to be sure but Ella claims it's not all that swollen anymore and it'll be fine. Aria can't stand all the lying and flees upstairs with her homework. She sees her brother in his room, clearly tearing up. When she approaches him, he asks if their mom's going to be OK and then wonders if he is. Aria and Mike go back down to talk to their parents and Aria confesses Mike has broken into many other houses and that she's known about this for a while but didn't say anything because she thought it would help him but it obviously hasn't. It is implied everyone in the family came clean about what's been going on with Mike.

- A favourable review/recap of this episode and Holly's performance: Holly Marie Combs is the most amazing actor. Usually when people are that talented at such a young age it leaks away, for whatever reason, in public; it's always so nice to watch people make that transition as gracefully as she has.
